PROPRIETARY VP20TS 熱処理
- Annealing: Heat slowly and evenly to temperatures between 840 and 850°C, at a maximum rate of 100°C/h, keeping 1 hour for every 25 mm of the largest section of the piece. Slowly cool in an oven (30°C/h) to 500ºC; then cool in calm air.
Stress Relief: Heating the molds slowly and evenly (max. 100°C/h) up to about 530°C, keeping 0.5 hour in temperature for every 25 mm of the largest section in the piece; regardless of the section, the time must not be less than 2 hours. After relief, cool in calm air.
Hardening: During hardening, the surface of the molds must be protected against decarburization and oxidation. Heat slowly and uniformly at (100°C/h) up to 400°C and then at a maximum of 300°C/h until the austenitization temperature, between 880 and 920°C. Allow 0.5 hours for each inch of thickness. Keep at temperature until complete homogenization of the entire piece. Cooling must be carried out in oil suitable for quenching, stirred and heated between 40 and 70°C, until the mold temperature reaches 100°C. Then cool in calm air between 50 and 70°C.
Tempering: Tempering immediately after quenching, as soon as the molds reach 60°C. Make at least 2 tempers and between each temper the parts must cool slowly to room temperature. The tempering temperature must be chosen according to the desired hardness. The time of each tempering must be at least 2 hours. For pieces larger than 70 mm, the time must be calculated as a function of their dimension.
Nitriding: It is indicated when greater wear resistance is desired. It presents good response to nitriding, reaching surface hardness of up to 800 HV.
