PROPRIETARY VC150 熱処理
- Forging: Heating slowly to about 760°C and wait for all material to reach that temperature; continue heating up to 1060 - 1120°C, keep at temperature until complete homogenization and start forging. Do not forge below 950°C. Reheat if necessary. After forging, cool slowly in an furnace or other dry insulating material.
Annealing: For lower hardness, it should be heated to 870 - 900°C, kept at this temperature for six hours and cooled very slowly in the oven. To improve machinability, annealing at around 760°C is recommended.
Quenching: Heat slowly to 980-1040°C, keep at temperature for about half an hour and cool in oil. Large section pieces must be preheated to around 700°C and then brought to the tempering temperature. For small parts, cooling can be done with blown air.
Tempering: It is recommended to temper steel immediately after quenching, to avoid the occurrence of thermal cracks. The tempering temperature is determined by the desired mechanical characteristics. The range between 420 and 600°C should be avoided, as tempering carried out between these temperatures tends to produce brittleness and a sharp drop in corrosion resistance.
