ASD-STAN AL-P7010 Heat Treatments
- T7452: Solution heat treated at 470 ≤ θ ≤ 480°C, water quenched, θ ≤ 80°C; 1 ≤ cold compressed ≤ 5%; artificially aged at 110 ≤ θ ≤ 120°C, 8 ≤ t ≤ 24 hours; artificially aged at 170 ≤ θ ≤ 180°C, 8 ≤ t ≤ 16 hours.
The use of quench additives or higher quenchant temperature shall be subject to agreement between manufacturer and purchaser.
Artificial ageing may be carried out using following alternative method: Heating to a temperature of 170 ≤ θ ≤ 180°C, at a rate not exceeding 20°C/hour and soaking at this temperature for 10 ≤ t ≤ 14 hours. - T7651: Solution heat treated at 470 ≤ θ ≤ 480°C, water quenched, θ ≤ 40°C; 1 ≤ cold stretched ≤ 5%; artificially aged at 110 ≤ θ ≤ 120°C, 8 ≤ t ≤ 24 hours; artificially aged at 170 ≤ θ ≤ 180°C, 6 ≤ t ≤ 16 hours.
