SAE 7010 Heat Treatments
- Solution heat-treated, stress relieved by stretching to produce a nominal permanent set of 2% but not less than 1-1/2% nor more than 3%, and precipitation heat treated to the T7351
- Annealing: Soak for 2 to 3 hours at 404°C (760°F ); cool to 204°C (400°F) or lower, reheat to 232°C (450°F), and soak for 4 hours; cooling rate optional.
Solution heat treating temperature (for plate, forging): 471-482°C (880- 900°F) , followed by an air cool and quenched.
