ASD-STAN AL-P7475 Heat Treatments
- T7351: 460 ≤ θ ≤ 500°C / water quenched; θ ≤ 40°C; + 1.5 ≤ controlled stretched ≤ 3%; + 100 ≤ θ ≤ 135°C / 3 ≤ t ≤ 24 h; + 155 ≤ θ ≤ 175°C / 8 ≤ t ≤ 30 h. Artificial ageing may be carried out using the following alternative single stage method: Heating to a temperature of 155 ≤ θ ≤175°C at a rate not exceeding 20°C/h and soaking at this temperature for 8 ≤ t ≤ 30 h.
- T7651: Solution treated at 460 ≤ θ ≤ 500°C, water quenched, θ ≤ 40°C, 1.5 ≤ controlled stretched ≤ 3%, artificially aged at 100 ≤ θ ≤ 135°C, 3 ≤ t ≤ 24 hours or artificially aged at 155 ≤ θ ≤ 168°C, 15 ≤ t ≤ 18 hours.
Artificial ageing may be carried out using the following alternative single stage method: Heating to a temperature of 155 ≤ θ ≤ 168°C at a rate not exceeding 20°C/hour and soaking at this temperature for 15 ≤ t ≤ 18 hours.
