DTD 5024 Heat Treatments
- Forgings shall be heat treated as follows:
Solution treat by heating at 450-470°C. Quench in water at a temperature of not less than 85°C or in oil at temperature of not less than 20°C.
Precipitation treat by heating at a temperature of 130-140°C for not less than 12 hours.
