AIR T-A6V Heat Treatments
- Annealing by holding for 1 hour sample brought to the temperature of 730 +/- 10°C.
Delivery heat treatment also corresponds to the annealed state; the products must then be treated by maintaining at a temperature of 730 +/- 30°C, for 1 hour for sections ≤ 5000 mm² and up to 2 hours; for sections between 5000 mm² and 10,000 mm², followed by air cooling.
Some mechanical properties (cross-cut sensitivity test) are difficult to obtain for products with a cross-section greater than 10 000 mm²; in that case so-called "high temperature" annealing treatment (900 to 930°C) is allowed.
