PROPRIETARY ATI 718 Plus Alloy Heat Treatments
- Solution treated at 954°C to 982°C for 1 hour and cool at a rate equivalent to air cool or faster. Aged at 788°C for 2-8 hours, furnace cooled at 38°C per hour to 704°C, holding for 8 hours, and air cooled. A pre-solution treatment at 816°C to 871°C, for 8 hours minimum followed by air cooling to room temperature prior to solution treating has been shown to improve tensile and stress-rupture properties in some forged products.
