DIN 2.4663 Heat Treatments
- Solution annealing: 1140°C to 1200°C, cooling by water, compressed air or cooled protective gas. Holding period for pipes, strips and sheets with t <= 25 mm is max. 1.25h and for t > 25 mm is max. 3h, for forged plates t <= 140 mm is max. 3.5h, for forgings, rods is max. 5h.
The hot forming temperature is 900°C to 1200°C.
