ASTM B 983 N07740 Heat Treatments
- Recommended solution annealing treatment: 1100 - 1200°C (2012 - 2192°F), hold 1/2h/25.4mm, 5 minutes minimum, water quench or rapid air/gas cool;
Recommended precipitation hardening treatment: 760 - 815°C (1400 - 1500°F), hold 4h minimum for up to 50.8 mm thickness + additional 1/2h per each additional 25.4 mm of thickness, air cool.
