B.S. L 161 Heat Treatments
- Solution treat by heating at a temperature of 465 +/- 5°C and quenching in water at a temperature between 60°C and 80°C; Artificially age by heating at a temperature of 110 +/-5°C for 6h to 24h, or at temperature of 120 +/- 5°C for 20h to 30h, followed, with or without cooling, by further heating at a temperature of 177 +/- 5°C for 6h to 10h, followed by air cooling.
