PROPRIETARY Alloy 825 Heat Treatments


  • All material shall be melted by Electric Arc Furnace or Electric Induction Furnace, with Electro Slag Refining allowable as a further process.
    For bars: Annealing shall be carried out at a temperature up to 980°C, allowing sufficient time for full annealing to take place. Quenching can be either in air or water.
    For tubes: Annealing shall be carried out at a temperature above 830°C, allowing sufficient time for full annealing to take place. Quenching can be either in air or water.
  • Solution annealing, between 950-1000°C, followed by water quenching.
