MIL 825 Heat Treatments
- Solution heat treatment consist of heating the castings for at least 1 hour at 802°C +/- 12°C, followed by an immediate water quench. Precipitation hardening consist of heating the castings for at least 2 hours at 343°C +/- 12°C, followed by air cooling. Other temperature time cycles can be used to achieve the minimum properties.
