UNI 2014 Heat Treatments

  • Full Annealing (O) from 390 to 420°C to scheme with subsequent slow cooling in the oven (max. 25°C/h up to 200°C).
T4 - Hardening in water (up to 40°C) from 492 to 502°C after preheating for 0.5 to 2h in scheme followed by natural aging (50°C max.) for at least 96h.
T6 - Hardening in water (up to 40°C) from 492 to 502°C after preheating for 0.5 to 2h in scheme followed by artificial aging to:
    - Extruded - 155 to 165°C for 18h in scheme (or 170 to 180°C for 8 to 10h at regime)
    - Forged and printed - 165 to 175°C for 10h to scheme.
T4510, T6510 - Heat treatments equal to T4 and T6 provided to the extrudes that receive after hardening and before a distension of aging artificial ironing comprising a 1 to 3% permanent deformation.
T4511, T6511 - Heat treatments equal to T4510 and T6510 provided for receiving extruded after ironing modest operations of straightening for reasons of dimensional tolerances.
T652 - Heat treatment equal to T6 forgings intended for receiving after quenching and before aging artificial a cold compression operation for stretching the material comprising a permanent deformation from 1 to 4%.
T42, T62 - Heat treatments performed for the purpose of control, the same as T4 and T6 applicable to extrusions that are provided in the state O (annealed) or in F (as extrusion) was to test the response of the material to heat treatment.
