UNI G-AZ5GF Heat Treatments
- The alloy has high hardenability when cast in sand or permanent mould (Ts, Tc) and therefore it is not needed to include a solution treatment. N: Natural ageing within 20 days; A: Artificial ageing at 100 - 120°C for nearly 30 hours, to be used when it is required a fast hardening of the casting. In the case where the tempering effect has not been satisfactory (big sand castings), it is possible to complete a full tempering cycle from 450°C after preheating for 2 - 6 hours and ageing.
