ISO NiCr19Fe19Nb5Mo3 Heat Treatments
- For guidance only: Precipitation hardening (+P): 980 ± 30°C; Cooling: air (sufficiently rapid); In the case where the heat treatment is performed in a continuous furnace, the upper part of the given temperature range, or even a temperature in excess of it, is normally preferred; Tempering or precipitation treatment: 710-730°C (18h - recommended time), furnace cooling down to 610-630°C, hold at 610-630°C. Total treatment time: min 18h - recommended time.
- Solution or annealed treatment: Heat to 940 to 1060°C, air cool or faster.
Stabilizing and/or precipitation treatment: Heat to 720°C hold for 8 hours, cool at 55°C/h to 620°C, hold at 620°C for 8 hours, air cool. Alternatively, cool to 620°C at any rate and hold at 620°C to give a total precipitation treatment time of 18 hours.
