B.S. L 97 Heat Treatments
- Solution treat by heating at a temperature of 495 ± 5 °C and quenching in water at a temperature not exceeding 40 °C; Age at room temperature for not less than 48 hours; Material should be solution treated, controlled stretched, to a permanent extension of not less than 1.5 % nor more than 3 %, and precipitation treated.
