B.S. L 87 Heat Treatments
- Solution treat by heating at a temperature of 506 ± 5°C and quenching in water at a temperature not exceeding 40°C; Precipitation treat by heating uniformly for the requisite period at a temperature between 160°C and 190°C (at 165°C 12 to 18 h, at 170°C 9 to 12 h, at 185°C 3 to 6 h).
