AA 208.0 Heat Treatments
- Solution heat treated and naturally aged to a substantially stable condition (T4): Solution heat treated at 504.4°C (± 5.56°C) / 940°F (± 10°F)/4-12 hours; quenched in water at 65.5 - 100°C / 150 - 212°F.
Solution heat treated and artificially aged (T6): Solution heat treated at 504.4°C (± 5.56°C) / 940°F (± 10°F)/4 - 12 hours; quenched in water at 65.5 - 100°C / 150 - 212°F.
Aging treatment: At 154.4°C (± 5.56°C) / 310°F (± 10°F) for 2 - 5 hours.
Solution heat treated and overage/stabilized (T7): Solution heat treated at 504.4°C (± 5.56°C) / 940°F (± 10°F)/4 - 12 hours; quenched in water at 65.5 - 100°C / 150 - 212°F.
Aging treatment: At 260°C (± 5.56°C) / 500°F (± 10°F) for 4 - 6 hours.
