CCS CCS Type 260 Heat Treatments
- Quenched and tempered at a temperature not less than 550°C or
Normalized and tempered at a temperature of not less than 550°C. - Fully annealed or
Normalized or
Normalized and tempered at a temperature of not less than 550°C or
Quenched and tempered.
Engine bedplate castings, turbine castings and any other castings where dimensional stability and freedom from internal stresses are important are to be given a stress relief heat treatment as follows:
Heat to a temperature not lower than 550℃, cool in furnace to 300℃ or lower or
Fully anneal and cool in furnace to 300℃ or lower.
