PROPRIETARY CarTech 52100 Alloy Heat Treatments


  • Normalizing: Heat to 927°C (1700°F), then air cool.

    Annealing: Heat uniformly to 775°C (1425°F), then cool slowly in the furnace.

    Hardening: For sections up to 25.4 mm in diameter or thickness, heat to 832-843°C (1530-1550°F), then oil quench.
    For sections over 25.4 mm in diameter or thickness, heat to 802-816°C (1475-1500°F), then water quench.
