ISO 46Cr2 Heat Treatments

  • Core hardened (+CH): Austenitizing temperature in the core hardening test at 850°C (± 5°C), a hardening time at temperature of at least 30 min is recommended.
    Hardening shall be carried out at 850 ± 10°C, 90 min/water. In cases of dispute, pretreatment at 1150°C for 30 min/air shall be carried out in order to produce a uniform starting condition.
