ASME 1.0352 Heat Treatments
- Annealed (+A); Austenitizing or solution annealing at 890 - 930°C, cooling in furnace.
Normalized (+N): Austenitizing or solution annealing at 890 - 930°C, cooling in air. If agreed at time of enquiry and order normalizing “N” may be replaced by normalizing forming.
Normalized and tempered (+NT) or Quenched and tempered (+QT): Austenitizing or solution annealing at 890 - 930°C, cooling in air, oil, polymer or water. Tempering at 600 - 640°C, cooling in air or furnace.
