PROPRIETARY SIQUAL 7228 Heat Treatments
- Soft Annealing: Heat to 680 - 720°C, cool slowly in furnace. Hardening: Hardening: 820 - 850, 830 - 860°C, water, oil. Normalizing: 840 - 860°C. Tempering: 540 - 680°C. Heat treatment 1: Oil quenched, fine grained, tempered at 205°C. Heat treatment 2: Oil quenched, fine grained, tempered at 315°C. Heat treatment 3: Oil quenched, fine grained, tempered at 425°C. Heat treatment 4: Oil quenched, fine grained, tempered at 540°C. Heat treatment 5: Oil quenched, fine grained, tempered at 650°C.
