PROPRIETARY SIQUAL 5919 Heat Treatments
- Soft Annealing: Heat to 650 - 700°C, cool slowly. Normalizing: 850 - 880°C. Intermediate Annealing: 630 - 650°C. Carburizing: Temperature: 850 - 980°C. Cooling from carburizing temperature: oil, water, thermal bath, salt bath. Hardening: Core hardening: 830 - 870°C. Surface hardening: 780 - 820°C. Quenching media: oil, water, thermal bath. Tempering: 150 - 200°C.
