VdTÜV X2CrNiMoN22-5-3 Heat Treatments
- Solution heat treatment
Plates, t ≤ 10 mm:
Heated at 1020°C to 1100°C, cooled by moving air or water.
Plates (t > 10 mm), structural steels, bars, forgings, flanges:
Holding time after complete equalization at 1040°C to 1100°C minimum 5 minutes, below 1040°C minimum 20 minutes, quenched in water.
Seamless tubes, strips:
Heated at 1020°C to 1100°C, cooled by moving air, shielding gas or water.
The material can be cold- and hot-formed.
Hot forming should be carried out in the temperature range between 1200°C and 900°C. After hot forming, a solution annealing is required.
After cold forming with degrees of deformation of more than 10%, solution annealing is required.
