EN X2CrNiMoN22-5-3 Heat Treatments

  • Solution annealed (+AT): 1020-1100°C (for guidance only), cooling sufficiently rapid in water or air.
  • Heat treated at 250-450°C; Duration: 1h to 3h; Air cooling; The optimum heat treatment conditions may be very different. The spring manufacturer shall choose those conditions answering the purpose; The heat treatment data refer to compression springs, torsion and tension (springs without initial tension); The lower temperature is recommended for extension springs with prestress.
