PROPRIETARY 100CrMnSi6-4 Heat Treatments


  • Hot-forming: 1050-880°C. Pre-heating: 500°C. Quenching (+Q): 830 - 870°C, polymer. Tempering (+T): 150 - 200°C, calm air. Stress relief (+SR): 560 - 650°C, air. Stress relief annealing must be carried out after machining and before final heat treatment. Spheroidized annealing (+AC): 800°C furnace cooling to 720°C pause after air. Mechanical properties at different tempering temperatures obtained after quenching at 840°C in oil.
