VdTÜV 20 MnMoNi 5 5 Heat Treatments
- Hardening from 870 to 930°C, water cooling; Annealing from 630 to 690°C, cooling in still air or in the oven; Intermediate annealing 550°C+/-20K; Stress relieving from 580 to 620°C.
- Quenching and tempering:
1. Hardening from 870-940°C, water quenching (two stages; three stages).
2. Hardening from 750-800°C, water quenching (three stages).
Tempering from 630-680°C, cooling in still air or in the oven,
Intermediate annealing 550°C ± 20 K.
Stress relieving annealing from 580-620°C.
