DIN 1.6310 Heat Treatments
- Hardened, quenched or solution annealed at 1000-1050°C, cooled in air or quenched in oil
Tempered or aged at 680-780°C
Stress relief annealed at 680-780°C - Austenitization at 870 to 930°C, water cooling; Tempering at 630 to 690°C. The heating and cooling rate, the temperature and the holding time shall be defined by the manufacturer and processor as a function of dimensions of the part, chemical composition and preceding heat treatments such that the requirements for mechanical and technological characteristics are met even allowing for subsequent heat treatments for the final condition of the complete part. Claddings shall also be taken into consideration (corrosion resistance, ductility); Stress-relief annealing at 580 to 620°C. For multiple stress-relief annealing steps, the indicated temperature range shall be applicable for the last stress-relief annealing step. Preceding stress-relief annealing steps can be performed at 530°C to 570°C
