AFCEN X12 Cr13 Heat Treatments
- - Slow cooling after forging or rolling,
- Austenitizing,
- Quenching with water or oil or water + polymer,
- Tempering at a minimum temperature of 600°C. - After austenitizing, pipes shall be quenched in water or oil or water + polymer. Tempering shall be performed at a temperature greater than or equal to 600°C. Stress-relieving heat treatment, after straightening of pipes, shall be performed at a temperature at least 20°C lower than tempering temperature, but not less than 580°C.
