AFCEN 16 MND 5 Heat Treatments
- - Austenitizing at a temperature between 850°C and 900°C.
- Quenching in water.
- Tempering at a minimum temperature of 630°C. - Austenitizing at a temperature between 850°C and 925°C, quenching by dipping in water, tempering at a temperature selected so as to obtain the required properties, followed by still air cooling. Nominal holding temperature for tempering shall be between 635°C and 665°C.
