PROPRIETARY SAE1045 Heat Treatments
- Hot-forming: 1100 - 800°C. Soft annealing +A: 680 - 710 furnace cooling. Normalizing: 850 - 870°C, air. Quenching: 820-840°C, oil polymer or water. Tempering: 600 - 650°C, air. Stress-relieving: 50°C under the temperature of tempering.
- Water quenching: 820-900°C; Oil quenching: 820-890°C.
