DIN 15 NiCuMoNb 5 S Heat Treatments
- Austenitization at 900 to 980°C, cooling in stationary air after the temperature has been reached over the entire cross section and tempering at 640 to 680°C, or austenitization at 880 to 930°C cooling in oil or water. This treatment shall be employed for relatively large heat-treatment wall thicknesses, in order to be able to maintain the minimum temperature of 640 to 690°C for tempering; Stress-relief annealing at 580 to 620°C.
