MIL E52100 Heat Treatments
- Heat treated: The specimens shall be austenitized at 1525°F (857°C) for 30 minutes and quenched in oil maintained between 75°F (23°C) and 140°F (60°C). One face of the specimen shall be prepared for hardness test by careful grinding, using a coolant to remove any decarburization.
