CSN 17 023 Heat Treatments
- Forging at 1100 to 900°C, cooling in a furnace or in ash;
Hardening at 1000 to 1050°C, cooling in oil or in air - (thinner products);
Tempering at higher temperatures at 650 to 750°C, delay temperature for 2 hours, cooling in water;
Tempering at low temperatures at 150 to 200°C, delay at 15 to 30 minutes;
Annealing at 800 to 840°C, delay temperature for 1h, cooling in the furnace at 0.5°C/min to a temperature of 650°C, then free in air.
