PROPRIETARY 416 HT Heat Treatments
- Annealing: 900°C, slow cooling in the furnace. Sub-critical annealing: 650-760°C, air cooling. Hardening: 950°C, air or oil quenching. Hardened and tempered: heat and hold 10°C to 40°C below tempering temperature for 4-7 hours, slow cool. Annealed: heat and hold 595°C for 4-7 hours, slow cool.
