- For guidance only: Quenching and tempering (+QT): 1045 ± 25°C; Cooling: air or oil; In the case where the heat treatment is performed in a continuous furnace, the upper part of the given temperature range, or even a temperature in excess of it, is normally preferred; Tempering or precipitation treatment: 680-740°C (min 2h).
