- Heat treated at 250-450°C; Duration: 1-3h; Air cooling; The optimum heat treatment conditions may be very different. The spring manufacturer shall choose those conditions answering the purpose; The heat treatment data refer to compression springs, torsion and tension (springs without initial tension); The lower temperature is recommended for extension springs with prestress.
- Hot forming: 1150-950°C, air cooling; Solution annealing (+AT): 1020-1100°C, water or air rapid cooling.
