ASTM A 1082 Grade 157A Heat Treatments
- Age Hardening Heat Treatment to 955°C (1750°F) ± 15°C (25°F) for 10 min, to 1 h, rapidly cool to room temperature. Cool within 24 hrs. to -75 (100°F) ± 5°C (10°F), hold 8 hrs. min. Warm in air to room temperature. Heat to 510°C (950°F) hold 1 h, air cool. Quenching shall be accomplished using air or gas cooling unless the table specifies another media.
