- Condition HT: the nuts shall be hardened and tempered by heating to 1010 ± 30°C sufficient for austenitization, holding for at least 1/2 h, rapid air- or oil-quenching, reheating to 275°C minimum, and holding for at least 1 h and then air-cooling to provide the required properties.
