ASME SA-671 CG 100 Heat Treatments
- Post-welded heat treatment: 550 - 580°C (1025 - 1085°F);
Normalizing: 900 ± 15°C (1650 ± 25°F) plus 790 ± 15°C (1450 ± 25°F).
If hot forming is performed after heating to a temperature in the range from 900 - 955°C (1650 - 1750°F), the first normalize may be omitted.
Tempering: 560 - 605°C (1050 - 1125°F).
