PROPRIETARY S275JR Heat Treatments
- Hot-forming: 1150 - 850°C. Soft annealing (+A): 650 - 700°C, air cooling. In some cases, the piece can be normalized and tempered +NT or quenched and tempered +QT. Normalizing: 880 - 900°C, air cooling; Tempering: 550 - 660°C, air cooling. Quenching: 860 - 900°C, water cooling; Tempering: 550 - 660°C, air cooling. Stress-relieving (+SR): 50°C under the temperature of tempering.
