PROPRIETARY Ovako 825T Heat Treatments
- Hot forging (+U): 800-1100°C, air cool;
Normalizing (+N): 880-910°C, air cool;
Spheroidize annealing (+SA): RT - 820°C / 1-2 h, air cool; 820°C / 2-5 h, air cool; 820 - 740°C / 1 h, air cool; 740 - 690°C / 12 h, air cool;
Stress relieve annealing (+SRA): 550 - 650°C / 2 h, air cool;
Martensitic hardening (+Q/T(m)): 830 - 870°C / 20 - 60 min, oil quench (tempering within 2h);
Bainitic hardening (+Q/T(b)): 850 - 875°C / 20 - 60 min, quench in salt bath 220 - 250°C / 3-9 h;
Tempering (+T): 160 - 500°C, air cool
