ASME SA-217 Grade C12A Heat Treatments
- Furnished in the normalized and tempered condition.
Normalized at 1040-1080°C (1900-1975°F); Tempered at 730–800°C (1350–1470°F).
Heat treatment shall be performed after castings have been allowed to cool below the transformation range.
Minimum preheat temperature: 200°C (400°F) for all thicknesses.
