ACI Type HA Heat Treatments


  • Annealing: Heat to 885°C (1625°F), or slightly higher and cool slowly in the furnace at about 28°C (50°F) per hour until temperature is below 704°C (1300°F) and then air cooling to below 709°C (1300°F) followed by tempering at about 677°C (1250°F).
    Normalized at 996°C (1825°F), tempered at 667°C (1250°F).
