ASTM A 638 Grade 660 Type 2 Heat Treatments

  • Solution treatment: 980 ± 15°C (1800 ± 25°F), hold for 1 hour minimum, followed by quenching in oil or water.
    Precipitation hardening: 705 to 760°C (1300 to 1400°F), hold for 16 hours minimum, followed by air or furnace cooling.
