ASTM A 638 Grade 660 Type 1 Heat Treatments
- Solution treatment: 900 ± 15°C (1650 ± 25°F), hold for 2 hours minimum, followed by quenching in oil or water.
Precipitation hardening: 705 to 760°C (1300 to 1400°F), hold for 16 hours minimum, followed by air or furnace cooling.
