PROPRIETARY W E H Heat Treatments
- Annealing at 680 - 700°C for 4- 6h, slow furnace cooling. Stress relieving at appr. 650°C for 1 - 2h, slow cooling. Carburizing at 860 - 920°C, soft power or salt bath. Annealing at 630 - 660°C, slow furnace cooling, bath carburizing in the pearlitic zone in an appropriate bath, 1-2h. Hardening at 810 - 840°C, quenching in oil, very small sections also hot bath atappr. 180°C. Tempering as demanded, usually at 160 - 200°C.
