PROPRIETARY R P U Heat Treatments
- Soft annealing: heat to 820 - 840°C for 4 - 6h, then slow furnace cooling.
Hardening: heat to 1030 - 1050°C. Cooling in air, warm bath of approx. 540°C, oil/polymer. Interrupt oil or polymer cooling at 230 - 280°C or vacuum hardening.
Tempering: 520 - 700°C.
Nitriding is possible.
Preheating before use at 150 - 350°C.
